Lohan's Dad: Lindsay Hooked on OxyContin

May 31, 2007 - Lindsay Lohan's estranged father says she suffers from multiple addictions, including alcohol and the painkiller OxyContin, the Web site E! Online reported Wednesday.

The 20-year-old actress checked into rehab Monday following a weekend that included crashing her Mercedes, being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and being photographed slumped in the passenger seat of a friend's car. This is her second rehab stint this year. "I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care," Michael Lohan told E! Online. "And I'm satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That's a very important step."

Lindsay Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, did not immediately return an after-hours call and e-mail from The Associated Press on Wednesday. Michael Lohan was released from a New York state prison in March after serving almost two years for driving while intoxicated and other charges. He said he is studying to become a drug-rehab counselor with the faith-based organization Teen Challenge.

Before entering rehab, the actress was scheduled to start work this week on "Poor Things," a comedy featuring Shirley MacLaine, who is also a producer on the movie. MacLaine and co-producer Rob Hickman said in a statement Wednesday that Lohan still wants to work on the project. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation," the statement said.

Our frightening exclusive pictures were taken four months ago at a house party where Lindsay was publicly claiming she was reformed and sober after her first bout of rehab.

Now she is back in a Malibu clinic after driving her Mercedes into a tree, high on coke and booze. Last night a friend from Lindsay's inner circle revealed how the star's mental state has continued to crumble behind the walls of the Promises clinic in California.

"On the first night she couldn't stop crying. Since then she's refused to follow the rules and keeps having hissy fits about people," says our source.

Among the celebs she blasted were:

#PARIS HILTON "In one of her group meetings she yelled that her friend Paris was a coke ***** and couldn't believe how stupid she'd been driving while banned. She said, ‘Paris thinks she's above everyone. She's not. Paris is a stupid cow and deserves what she gets'."

# NICOLE RICHIE: Next she scathingly attacked actress Nicole. "She saw a woman who is bulimic and said, ‘She's like Nicole. What problems does Nicole have? The girl just needs to eat. Period'."

# CALUM BEST: Our source said Lindsay was devastated after it was revealed her 25-year-old boyfriend had been caught enjoying a drug-fuelled romp with two hookers. Our source said: "Since then she has begun to self-destruct even more. When she was told what he had done with those prostitutes she broke down and cried, ‘I thought he loved me'.

"He still hasn't bothered to get in touch with her. She thought Calum might become her rock but sadly he has just continued his wild ways without her. That's torn her apart."

Lindsay's obsession with bedding famous men is also at the root of her drink and drugs-fuelled madness.

The friend revealed: "She cries all the time at what a mess her life has become and how she has behaved like a complete tart."

It is just a month since the News of the World showed Lindsay being videoed snorting cocaine before bragging: "I'll f*** Jude Law tomorrow."

She bragged about the size of Jude's manhood before claiming she slept with him while he was dating Sienna Miller.

Her friend said: "She just got so carried away with bedding men like Jude and James Blunt she couldn't stop going out.

"She was hooked on pulling those kinds of men and took drugs to give her the confidence to approach them. She needs help to stop her obsession."

The Promises clinic is where singer Britney Spears went earlier this year. Patients have to stay a minimum of 30 days. Our source said Lindsay's family have paid for three guards to be with her in the clinic to make sure she does not escape.

The friend added: "The clinic even took her mobile from her to make sure she can't call people who are a bad influence on her.

"But she went berserk so they gave her a new phone with only the numbers of her family, publicist and agent on it.

"Now her friends just want her to stay in rehab for as long as possible. Only then will she be safe."

July 24, 2007 - Jail Time Likely for Starlet If Convicted, Lawyers Say

Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested early Tuesday on charges of driving with a suspended license and felony drug possession, faces likely jail time if she is convicted of all the charges against her, criminal defense lawyers told ABC News. Santa Monica police arrested Lohan early Tuesday and booked her on misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transporting a narcotic into a jail. Lohan has a separate misdemeanor drunken driving charge pending against her stemming from a car crash in May.

If convicted of all the charges against her, Lohan faces up to several years in prison, though criminal defense lawyers said she would get far less jail time, if any. "She is in a world of hurt," said Steven Cron, a criminal defense lawyer in Santa Monica. "Any judge is going to want to make sure she's off the streets for a while. I think she faces a substantial amount of jail time."

While warning that it is still too early to say what will happen to Lohan and that all the facts of her arrest still are not known, several Los Angeles criminal lawyers told ABC News that they expected Lohan, who recently left rehab and has been wearing an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, to serve at least some jail time if convicted. Lohan's attorney Blair Berk and her publicist did not immediately return calls for comment. In a statement released to the Web site TMZ.com, Berk said that Lohan had relapsed. "She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care," the statement said.

July 28, 2007 - Some wonder if Lindsay Lohan's sobriety issues will affect her young fans.

Lindsay Lohan's latest movie, "I Know Who Killed Me," opened Friday around the country, but the buzz about the film was overshadowed by the actress' latest trouble, including her arrest this week on suspicion of DUI and drug possession. "There is so much controversy about Lindsay Lohan, I just want to see if her abilities are still intact," one moviegoer said.

The 21-year-old was arrested by Santa Monica, Calif., police on suspicion of drunk driving and cocaine possession. She was allegedly chasing the mother of her former assistant, who called 911. It was her second DUI arrest this year and it came only two weeks after she exited rehab.

Though Lohan claims she is innocent, some question the impact these troubles will have on her once-thriving career. "I hope she can pull herself together," another fan said. "This movie wasn't that great and I hope in the future she might come out with better movies."

Three young men went to a party in Malibu, Calif., but they didn't know they were in for the ride of their lives with Lindsay Lohan later that night. In interviews posted to the celebrity Web site TMZ.com, Dante Nigro, Jakon Sutter and Ronnie Blake say they were taken hostage in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

According to the trio, who are friends of Lohan's former assistant's boyfriend, they drove to Malibu for a party, where Nigro said Lohan was drinking nonstop. Lohan's assistant reportedly got into a fight with her boyfriend outside the party, and when Lohan came out, she got upset. The next thing they knew the assistant quit.

According to Nigro, the three guys were sitting in his GMC Denali when all of the sudden Lohan jumped into the driver's seat, started the engine and sped off after her assistant. Nigro said he tried to grab the wheel of the car and Lohan said, "If you touch me, I'll sue you." Blake said he tried to get out of the car but couldn't because Lohan stepped on the gas the second his foot touched the pavement.
